Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is one of the best herbs for hair care. It has been a part of hair care routine in India since ancient times. It is beneficial to use amla internally as well as externally for better and quick results. Hair related conditions can be due to environmental changes, genetics, use of chemical-based shampoos, bad dietary and lifestyle habits, or others.

Tips to use Amla for 3 common hair problems:

1. Hair Fall

Hair fall is most commonly seen due to nutritional deficiency and polluted air. Amla is rich in Vitamin C that helps to form a very important protein for hair growth named collagen. Collagen is further helpful to create keratin. Keratin is a protein that is mainly responsible for hair growth. Not only this, but amla also cleanses hairs well and make them soft that reduces unnecessary breakage of hairs.

  • Eat amla powder with warm water twice a day.

2. Dandruff

Dandruff is dry white-colored flakes seen on the scalp. It is mostly associated with itching on the head. It happens due to dry skin, fungal infection (Malassezia), unhygienic conditions, and others. Amla works as the best cleanser for dandruff. As a result, it also reduces itching. For dandruff, it is better to use Amla hair mask twice a week.
