Ayurvedic lifestyle to reduce stress:

Meditation

To remove the stress out of your life meditation is one and only promising path. Nothing can beat what meditation does to our body. It helps to reduce stress and calm our mind.

Here are the simple steps to follow for meditation:

  • Wake up early in the morning (before sunrise).
  • Go for a morning walk.
  • Feel the fresh air outside.
  • Sit calmly in a quiet place, close your eyes, and observe your breath.
  • Practice this for 15 minutes every day to feel the quick results.

Yoga

The word Yoga means “to unite.” Yoga involves controlled inhaling, holding and exhaling of breaths along with the postures. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, that is responsible for harmony. Practicing yoga every day improves blood circulation that accordingly maintains health.

Here are the Yoga postures that help to reduce stress:

  • Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand)
  • Shavasana (Corpse Pose)
  • Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend)
  • Viparita Karani (Half Shoulder Stand)

Pranayam

The word Pranayam is made of two words prana and ayama. “Prana” means life force and “Ayama” means to draw out. It is a method of controlling the breathing pattern. This helps to eliminate your senses from the outer world and takes you to the inner world. Practicing pranayama for 10 to 15 minutes every day reduces stress and brings calmness within.
